Getting to Know: “Heartless” Bart Montgomery (Cowboy Mike)

Our team is the heart and soul of the Wild West City experience! This week, we’re spotlighting the talented “Heartless” Bart Montgomery (Cowboy Mike). I sat down with him to discuss his role in bringing the Old West to life, him passion for Western history, and his insider tips for guests visiting the park. Get ready for some behind-the-scenes insights!

Q:

What’s your role at Wild West City, and how long have you been part of the posse?

A:

I am an actor and barn worker. This will be my 3rd season with WWC!

Q:

If you could have any job in the Old West, what would it be?

A:

I love the horses and horse riding, so I would go with any job that keeps me around them! I’d say a Wrangler!

Q:

If you could have a showdown with any historical figure, who would it be and why?

A:

It would be with Robert Owen for inventing the 8 hour work day! 

Q:

What is your favorite food at the Golden Nugget Saloon?

A:

Hands down my favorite dish is the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger. Its always cooked fresh, juicy and the flavors all work so well together. It goes great with a WWC root beer! 

Q:

What advice would you give to someone visiting Wild West City for the first time?

A:

For the kids, GO WILD! Run around, check out the shows, visit the museums and stores and soak up every inch of the park! Its outdoors so get a little dirty too! Its WILD West City, not MILD West City!!!
For the adults, do the same! This may be New Jersey, but when you step foot into the park you are taken back to the Wild West. Let you inner cowboy/cowgirl come out and have fun with your kids!
