Getting to Know: Cowgirl Madelyn

Our team is the heart and soul of the Wild West City experience! This week, we’re spotlighting the talented Cowgirl Madeyn. I sat down with her to discuss her role in bringing the Old West to life, her passion for Western history, and his insider tips for guests visiting the park. Get ready for some behind-the-scenes insights!

Q:

What’s your role at Wild West City, and how long have you been part of the posse?

A:

My main role at WWC is driving the stagecoach, which means i get to spend a lot of quality time with our fantastic teams of draft horses. I give rides to any and all who wish to take a trip around town, and i’m ready to protect my passengers from any outlaws that try to hold us up. You’ll also see me on the opera house stage doing the can-can, and sometimes i’ll be riding or shooting on the main street! I’m about to enter my third year as a member of the posse, and looking forward to many more!

Q:

If you could have any job in the Old West, what would it be?

A:

I would absolutely be a stagecoach driver. It would be dangerous and hard work, but i would love to travel across the country by coach with a mission and a destination. Plus, having a team of horses to work with to accomplish a goal is unbelievably fulfilling.

Q:

If you could have a showdown with any historical figure, who would it be and why?

A:

Pearl Hart, who committed one of the last stagecoach robberies in the United States. I think I’d like to see if i could outrun or outsmart her.

Q:

What is your favorite food at the Golden Nugget Saloon?

A:

I dream about the chicken nuggets and fries from the Golden Nugget Saloon daily.

Q:

What advice would you give to someone visiting Wild West City for the first time?

A:

If you plan to ride the stagecoach, make sure you get in line early for the stagecoach hold up on the main street! It’s one of the best interactive experiences at WWC (I’m a little biased), and you really get to be the stars of the show. It’s my favorite part of the day, and it’s always a lot of fun for everyone on board.
